NEW 2022 -

Wondering about ways to improve ACT scores?

Have students watch the linked Homemade Math - ACT show and turn in to you a listing of “Top 10 Things I Learned from the ACT Show” (or a similar assignment).

YouTube link Homemade Math – ACT Tips and Test Prep Strategies https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FrtEBk2pAI38&data=04%7C01%7Cnatalee.feese%40fayette.kyschools.us%7Cda74cbf1749e4a1589e608d9dceef5b3%7C1cd28031be664a2aa9ce97358c52323e%7C0%7C0%7C637783741163524051%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=tOlUMCGAif7MnZKrvTh6jsxJiyoLgRxykqcsXayQIek%3D&reserved=0

In the past, teachers have:
• …had students to watch together in class.
• …had kids to watch on a sub day when the teacher was absent (left with sub plans).
• …used as a guided lesson and stopped the video to discuss parts as the class watched.
• …sent home on a Remind 101 link and then students turned in as a homework assignment.

LOTS of options BUT kids will learn when they watch.

If you have a link, website, or another communication to parents? – They will learn as well. Please share with parents and also with counselors to support ACT achievement.

The date is for juniors (and sophomores) this year is March 8-10, BUT the thing is……… it does not matter WHEN you take the ACT (December, February, April, etc.), the rules are always the same.

Melissa Davis, Henry Clay, created the work-alongs attached. There are 2 options. She uses with her students. Thank you for sharing!
