The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Location: Tates Creek		Per our last meeting, I researched how to grab a string like "x^2*sin(x)" and parse it into computer syntax so that we can make calculator like applets. I made an example involving a graphing utility and I will hopefully have some stuff made up for our next Flash meeting.

You have to put parenthesis around trig parameters and you have to use * for all multiplication. Just press Graph Me when you want the graph

Location: Henry Clay		I can't open the fla file. It tells me that it is an unexpected file format. Can you try saving it in a lower version?
