The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Location: Lafayette		I notice that the MILC unit for Chapters 1 & 2 does not cover matrices, but the long range plan from the blue book does. What are most of you doing in Algebra I about this?

Location: Lafayette		I covered matices during Chapter 2. I decided to do all the matrices in one day, the day I taught multiplication. You could split it up like they did on the day by day Algebra I plan. Do we just need to cover Addition, Subtraction and Scalar Multiplication?

What matrices skill should students for the Junior testing?
