Location: Lafayette | I think we have to observe another teacher this year, do some sort of write up about it like what was taught, what we liked, teaching moments, etc. This write up is turned in to an outside evaluator.
So, who are you observing???? |

Location: IAKSS | Thanks for getting this organized, Nancy! Travis Mullen at Southside will probably want to come to Lafayette to observe as well (like we did last year). We can add him to the LHS mix. |

I guess we can only observe Connie or Kelley. Do you know what classes they have during third block? |

Location: Lafayette | Kelley has Part 2 A3 but I am not sure B3. I guess Connie has Alg 2 or Pre Cal but I don't know which day is which. Yes, I think it has to be someone in MILC.
I think I may try and do this soon, what about you? |

Location: Lafayette | I think I will wait until next week at least. I need to get everything ready for Open house this week. I think Connie has Algebra II the same day as me, so that would be B3. I know Kelley has Calc one day during third block.
Are you wanting to see a certain activity or class more than another? |

Location: Lafayette | Excellent point! I guess I should see Kelley's calc since I have taught or teach everything else. But I should definately wait until next week to ask her with Homecoming being this week.
I guess that means you could observe any of them, since you don't teach any of those classes. |

| I think I will observe Connie at some point - fairly soon. Since I have taught the calculus, I think I will observe PreCal or Alg 2. |

Location: IAKSS | No set form...however, you will have a "write-up" (perhaps one page) of your observation for the outside evaluator.
The idea behind the observation is to promote a "Lesson Study" of sorts. That you get to observe in another teachers' classroom and see/learn from others. Talk to each other about why events happen/schedule for the day/ learning target of the day/ideas/....
In the write-up, not only do people record what was seen...but also personal reflections regarding their own teaching, students, curriculum, etc....
