I notice that the MILC unit for Chapters 1 & 2 does not cover matrices, but the long range plan from the blue book does. What are most of you doing in Algebra I about this?

I covered matices during Chapter 2. I decided to do all the matrices in one day, the day I taught multiplication. You could split it up like they did on the day by day Algebra I plan. Do we just need to cover Addition, Subtraction and Scalar Multiplication?

What matrices skill should students for the Junior testing?

What I meant to say was "What matrices skills should the students KNOW for the junior testing?"

It is so much more fun to proof read after you post.

I know this may not help you out this year but here's a matrix worksheet.
