The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

I created a discussion group for my classes similar to our milc discussion group. We are at the infancy stages in my AP class where the students are getting logged in and posting useless messages. My hope for the future is that this will be another tool for the classes to discuss all things mathematical. Anyway let me know what you think.

I just wanted everyone to know what they could do if interested. Everything I did was free.

This is really great. Especially since the college world is moving towards being much more on-line based. Many of these kids will, at the very least, participate in Blackboard or similar environments, and they will have a head-start in knowing how to use them for the greatest benefit.
