The following was on the calculus listserv

The program is a pretty nice alternative to Geometer's Sketchpad or WinGeom and is freeware as far as I can tell.
In the 5 minutes I played with it, I created some nice things.
Anyway here it is for the taking....

So this is to let you know about GeoGebra, a marvelous Java-based dynamic-geometry freeware program
which unites geometry, algebra and calculus, created by Markus Hohenwarter at the University of
Salzburg.

GeoGebra was specifically created for use by secondary school students. Triangles and circles are
easily created, geometric properties can be explored and points dragged dynamically. Equations of
lines and curves are automatically produced as geometric elements are added to a screen, and on the
other hand equations can be entered and their graphs are straightaway produced on screen. Points of
intersection are located too. And presentation quality diagrams can be created in GeoGebra then
printed out or embedded in other documents.
